The Sections
The festival will be divided into five main sections.
Première
Seven glamorous evenings of world premieres, complete with stars and directors. Sure to be a hit in the city that coined the word paparazzi.
Il lavoro dell’attore (The Actor’s Craft)
An exploration and celebration of acting, through laboratories, films and workshops. There is a rumour that Robert De Niro may be involved with the festival, and if so, this is the most likely place for him to turn up.
Competition
A jury of fifty people, selected from the general public (see jury), under the guiding hand of an as-yet-unnamed figure from the film world, will be judging 14 international films. They'll be giving out three prizes, each worth €200.000 and awarded for best film, best actor and best actress.
Extra
The left-field part of the festival, featuring experimental films, television, documentaries and computer games.
Alice nella città (Alice in the City)
They are calling Alice a 'festival within a festival', aimed at the younger crowd: children and teenagers.
